Background
When Keystone was first built, it ran a single theme across all sites.
As more sites from across the portfolio joined, the requirements from a commercial and UX perspective grew beyond the original theme’s capabilities. A new theme called ‘Keystone Premium’ was created as part of the migration for Marie Claire.
More recently, Keystone Premium was completely refactored into a standalone theme called Keystone Simba. The original Keystone theme is known as Keystone Classic to distinguish it from Simba.
